Blogger Recognition Award!

I am humbled and excited to say that Tales of Tucker was nominated for a Blogger Recognition Award from Scarlybobs’ Blog!  This blog is about all of their adorable pets.  Their three adorable dogs, including a new puppy, and even the new little degus they just adopted. Thank you so much for the nomination!! Tucker agreed to accept as long as he didn’t have to wear the bow tie again.

The rules are as follows:

  • Thank whoever nominated you and include a link to their blog
  • Write a post and give a brief story of how your blog started
  • Give a piece of advice or two to new bloggers
  • Select 15 other blogs you want to give the award to
  • Let the nominees know you have nominated them and provide a link to the nomination details.

How did Tales of Tucker get started?

When we adopted Tucker I was over the moon to have a puppy back in my life. My life has been consumed by him since we picked him up and truthfully I felt bad that I was bombarding my office mates with stories of my dog everyday.  But the stories of Tucker were just too funny not to share.  I thought that if I started blogging about all of Tucker’s antics maybe I would be able to suppress my creepy dog mom tendencies at work. People were beginning to think Tucker was my human son.  It also ended up being a great way to share pictures with our family and meet some wonderful people.

Advice to new bloggers

  1. Pictures: I love reading blogs with lots of pictures.  I love dogs and I follow mainly dog blogs so I love to see pictures of the cute furballs.
  2. Consistency. I really suffer at this most of the time when blogging. I really try to blog at least twice a week but sometimes I forget or don’t want to sit down to do it. But I admire those and am a faithful reader to those to do consistently post.

My Nominees (in no particular order):

Sand Spring Chesapeakes This blog talks about all of the fun hunting and training adventures with their Chesapeakes.  My favorite time was when they had all the puppies and we got to watch them grow up and be sent to their new loving homes. It was exciting and heartwarming.

Gnawing the Bone This blog is about the Antics of a Chocolate Lab in People World. I love the funny stories and entertaining dialog of this blog. If you need a good laugh go check them out! Its really how I would describe my dogs though process as well.

The Adventures of Sawyer This blog is daily pictures and updates of Sawyer.  I am always jealous of all the exciting things we seem him out doing and the picture quality is amazing! Its mainly just the pictures which is fine with me because they tell the story.

A Guero and His Perro This blog talks about Katniss the adopted German Shepherd mix.  The author has a very entertaining writing style of sarcastic humor which is my favorite style. Plus I am a sucker for shepherd mixes.

Travels With Choppy This blog shows the adventures of Choppy.  Choppy has more costumes than I could ever imagine and I am jealous of her wardrobe.  She looks smashing in everything from a sushi roll to her most recent post about butt covers.  They also have great social media accounts.

The Renegade Seamstress This is about a refashion seamstress.  She holds amazing refashion contests and has great posts about refashions.  Her posts are fashion inspiring and motivate me to use my sewing machine.

The Adventures of a Chocolate Dog This blog is about Freya the chocolate puppy. It has been fun to watch her grow up and see all of the things she can destroy.  She is a cute little rascal but you can see the spark of mischief in her eyes.

Accidental Seamstress This is another blog about refashions and her work is also very cute! She trys to keep her refashions under 99 cents and I am always impressed how she does it.  I found her through one of the refashion contests by the Renegade Seamstress.

Big Dog in the Big Land This blog is about Bailey the Newfoundland puppy and watching her grow up.  It has been entertaining to watch this gentle giant and her puppy antics. I am a huge fan of big dogs and this big girl is pretty adorable.

I know that was not 15 but I have not been blogging that long so I am still getting my feet wet. I tried not to get people that had already been nominated but if I double nominated you my apologizes. I enjoy reading everyone’s blogs so I apologize if I left anyone out.

Thanks for reading everyone!

  1. Stories of Tucker tend to put a smile on my face. I like the fact that you share both the good and the less than good moments with Tucker. The two of you are very deserving of The Blogger Recognition Award. Keep up the good work!
